Same as on Leopard: Repairing permissions is important, and should always be carried out both before and after any software installation or update. Go to Disk Utility (this is in your Utilities Folder in your Application folder) and click on the icon of your hard disk (not the one with all the numbers).

Well, this may have been correct advice at the time, but as of today, 12/28/11, it results in complete loss of Flash capability on my PPC iBook G4, with no chance of recovery once you use the uninstaller. I can't find archived versions of 10,1,102,64 or even of the vulnerable 10.3.183.5 anywhere online and Adobe's site is worse than useless, it tells you to install 10.2.x and then halfway through the process tells you it can't be done on PPC machines. So you're left with no flash capability any longer. No more Flash or YouTube videos for me, I guess.

Once downloaded if it doesn't unzip automatically the double click on that file. Look for the fp10.1.102.64and9.0.289.0archive folder, open it, look for the Flash Player 10.1.102.64 folder & open and look for 101r10264 folder & open it, double click on the flashplayer101r10264ubmac.dmg file, choose the Install Adobe Flash Player file to install. They don't make it easy!
